Ilex ‘Nellie R. Stevens’ is a pretty evergreen shrub, good for winter interest like a Holly but not as spikey.
Commonly known as Nellie Stevens Holly, is a popular hybrid holly admired for its dense, pyramidal growth, glossy evergreen foliage, and vibrant red berries that add beauty and seasonal interest to any landscape. Reaching heights of 4-6 meters with a spread of around 3 meters, this holly is an ideal choice for hedging, screening, and as a standout specimen plant.
It has an attractive, uniform form with a naturally dense and upright structure. Its dark green leaves are broad, oval-shaped, and glossy with a slight spiny edge, giving the shrub a bold yet refined look. The foliage maintains its deep green color year-round, making it an excellent choice for providing lush, evergreen coverage in the landscape.
