Quercus robur – English Oak

In stock

British grown English Oak, grown in our nursery in the rolling hills of South Devon.

A true icon of the British landscape, Quercus robur, or English Oak, is a majestic, long-lived tree with a broad, spreading crown and deeply ridged bark. Its distinctive lobed leaves emerge fresh green in spring, maturing to a deeper shade before turning golden brown in autumn. In summer, small catkins and acorns appear, attracting a rich variety of wildlife, from birds to pollinators.

As a native species, it supports an extraordinary range of biodiversity, providing food and shelter to countless insects and birds.  With its strong timber and ability to shape landscapes for centuries, it remains a timeless favourite for those looking to create lasting, natural legacies.
