It is a spreading small tree or large shrub with oblong leaves turning yellow-brown in autumn. It has white flowers 5cm in width in late spring, followed by brown fruit 5cm across which is edible.

Autumn colour: Yellow to orange

Ultimate height: 4 – 8 m

Uses: Sturdy shape with great flowers and fruit which will attract birds to the garden.
