Fagus orientalis ‘Iskander’ is a fastigiate Beech that originates from Japan and has shiny, dark green leaves. Unlike the Fagus sylvatica ‘Dawyck’ types, these don’t get the wooly aphids and therefore no sticky mess around them.
They retain their fastigiate shape quite well, and form a beautiful upright column, giving them great architectural merit.
